IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James "Jimmy" Pehl
Mcintosh
March 30, 2007 – April 21, 2025
James "Jimmy" Pehl McIntosh, age 18, of Carlisle, passed away suddenly on April 21, 2025.
He was born in Boston on March 30, 2007 to his loving parents Elizabeth McIntosh (Pehl) and Allen Scott McIntosh. Jimmy lived in Milford until he was 4, at which time the family moved to Carlisle into Liz's childhood home. Jimmy was magnetic since the day he was born, filling all the hearts he touched with love and joy. Jimmy attended Carlisle Public Schools from grades K-8, making friends with kids, teachers, and parents alike. Jimmy was never afraid to interact with anyone and had a confidence and spirit that few children have at that age.
Jimmy was incredibly independent, creative, intellectually curious and enviably fashionable. He loved to make pottery, shop, travel, and especially spend time with his family and friends. Jimmy traveled to the BVI's and Florida by himself as a pre-teen to visit both sets of Grandparents. He loved a good adventure.
Jimmy was a caring and compassionate person participating in the Mentors in Violence Prevention club at the school.
Jimmy fell in love with Charleston, SC when visiting and was looking forward to attending College of Charleston in the fall.
Jimmy is survived by his parents Liz and Scott, his maternal grandparents, Carol (Sawicky) and James Pehl of Marlborough, MA, his paternal grandfather James McIntosh of Findlay, OH, his Aunt Katherine McCabe (Pehl), husband David McCabe of Marlborough, MA, his Uncle William McIntosh, wife Julie McIntosh (Dean) Findlay, OH, his Aunt Teresa Steed (McIntosh), husband Douglas Steed of Toledo, OH, as well as his loving cousins and cherished great aunts, uncles and extended family. Jimmy was predeceased by his paternal grandmother Nancy McIntosh (Kelly).
Relatives and friends are invited to gather for visiting hours in the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center on Sunday, May 4 from 2 to 6 pm. A memorial service in celebration of Jimmy's life will be held on Monday, May 5 at 4 pm at the First Religious Society, 27 School Street, Carlisle. A reception will immediately follow at the Carlisle Public School. Services will be broadcast in the Carlisle School auditorium given anticipated capacity issues at the church.
