His son, Dennis, died in 2006.\r\n Jim was born in Concord on July 13, 1923. He was the son of the late John P. and Margaret (Mansfield) Condon of Concord. He had four other sisters; Mary, Dorothy, Margaret and Claire. He attended Concord Public Schools and graduated from Concord High School in 1941. He attended Dean Junior College and was a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps during the second World War.\r\n When Jim\'s father passed away in 1956 he and his brother took over the family\'s liquor store and real estate businesses in West Concord. Jim was influential in bringing many new businesses to town such as Concord Teakcakes, Twin Seafoods and the Barber Shops. Jim and Jack sold their business and stores in 1995.\r\n Much of Jim\'s time was spent at his beloved camp in Sandwich, New Hampshire, where he could be found walking his trails and making sure the paths were clear for all to enjoy. He could do his favorite sports and activities such as mountain bike riding, kayaking, tennis, hiking, swimming, cross country skiing and anything else that involved the outdoors.\r\n Jim was an active member of the town throughout his adult life. He was one of the founders of the first Little League teams in the town, a member of the first Concord Recreation Commission and the 1975 Celebration Committee, the Concord Elks, and the Concord Rod and Gun Club to name a few. One of Jim\'s talents was getting people together to benefit the community. He was part of the group that started the West Concord Junction Function up and running again for many years.\r\n Jim had an impressive memory and would entertain friends with his stories of people and places in days of old in Concord. His strong and loving spirit will be missed by all.\r\n Visitation was on June 8th in the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center.\r\n Funeral was held from the Dee Funeral Home of Concord followed by a burial in St. Bernard\'s Cemetery, Concord, where officers of the U.s.
