Obituary

James A. "Archie" Bonner of Concord passed away peacefully on April 9 at 86 years old. He was the devoted husband of the late Frances J. (Toomey), doting father of Kim A. Bonner of Lancaster, Kara J. Dobbins & husband Kenneth of Stow, and the late Kerry "Kassia" Reynard of Columbia, Missouri, dear brother of Leo F. Bonner of Auburn Hills, Michigan and the late Joseph W. Bonner of Mayville, Wisconsin. He was beloved by his many nieces, nephews and friends. Mr. Bonner was a US Army Peacetime Veteran, serving as Private First Class at Fort Bliss, Texas. He loved the outdoors, and fondly recalled his time as a very young boy at the East Boston "fresh air" Camps in Westford. He was an avid runner - nicknamed The Flying Fish, an enthusiastic Boston sports fan, and had a remarkable tenor singing voice. He was most at ease on his boat out in the Boston Harbor and a proud member of East Boston Yacht Club. Private interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford. Remembrances may be made to the Westford Friends of East Boston Camps, Inc., PO Box 346, Westford, MA 01886 (westfordfriendsebc.org) or to CareGroup Parmenter Home Care & Hospice, Inc., One Arsenal Market Place, Watertown, MA, 02472 (donate.mountauburnhospital.org/caregroupparmenter). Arrangements are under the care of the Dee Funeral Home of Concord.
