Obituary

Jacqueline F. (Kirwin) Curley, 84, of Bedford died Sunday, February 5, 2012 at her home. She was the beloved wife of the late John F. Curley and loving mother of Jill E. Curley of Bedford and the late John F. Curley, Jr. and Andrew K. Curley. Born in Boston on December 23, 1927 she was the daughter of the late John Joseph and Frances Elizabeth (Russell) Kirwin, sister of Muriel Reis of Foxboro, John J. Kirwin, Jr. and his wife Barbara of Harwich and the late Jeanette Garabedian. She attended Milton public schools, graduated from Milton High School and attended Wyndham Secretarial and Finishing School in Boston's Back Bay. During the 1980's, Mrs. Curley worked as a Secretary for the town of Bedford. A resident of Bedford since 1955, she was a volunteer tutor for many years at the Davis School in Bedford in the Reading Program. She has been a member of the Bedford's League of Women Voters, the Bedford Historical Society and most recently over the past decade, a member of the Council on Aging in Bedford. An avid square dancer, she was a member of the Yankee Twirlers. In addition to her daughter, Jill and sister, Muriel and brother John, she is also survived by her sister-in-law, Anne Stadelmaier of Florida and several cousins, nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, February 13th at 9 AM in St. Michael's Church, 90 Concord Road, Bedford. Visiting hours will be held at the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center on Sunday, February 12th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. Burial will be in Milton Cemetery, Milton on Monday at 1:15 PM. Contributions in her memory may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472. Arrangements are under the care of Susan M. Dee and Charles W. Dee, Jr., Directors, Dee Funeral Home of Concord. Service: Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, February 13th from the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center at 8 AM, followed by a funeral Mass at 9 AM in St. Michael's Church, 90 Concord Road, Bedford, Massachusetts.
