J. Walter Brain, 79, of Lincoln, died Sunday, April 19, 2015 at his Lincoln home. He was the beloved husband for 52 years of Patricia L. Brain.
Born in Lima Peru on March 19, 1936 he was the son of the late Oscar and Leonor (Suarez) Brain. He attended Universities in Lima and Massachusetts and received a Master's degree in Landscape Architecture.
For many years, Mr. Brain was a landscape architect practicing in Concord, Massachusetts.
A talented writer and poet, he was a natural historian of the local area, publishing regularly in local journals and newspapers.
A Lincoln resident since 1972, he was a member of the Thoreau Society.
In addition to his wife, Patricia, he is survived by three sons, Ariel of Boston, Iben of Munich, and Alejandro of London, and 4 grandchildren, Julian, Maximilian, Andreas and Oscar.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday April 24th from 4 to 8 pm in the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday April 25th at 1 pm in Lincoln Cemetery, Lexington Road, Lincoln.
