Iris G. (Hegarty) Jodice, 79, of Concord, formerly of Weymouth, died peacefully on Thursday, May 7th at her Concord home surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife for 55 years of John W. Jodice of Concord. Born in Weymouth on November 11, 1935 she was the daughter of the late Edward and Mary Matilda (Bourget) Hegarty. She attended Weymouth Public Schools and graduated from Weymouth High School in 1953. For several years, Mrs. Jodice was employed as a Computer Keypuncher at State Street Bank in Boston. More recently, for 35 years, she worked for Wee Forest Folk in Concord. A Concord resident since 1971, she was an avid equestrian and gardener. She devoted her life to family and spoiling all her grandchildren. In addition to her husband, John, she is survived by her children, Denise M. Jodice of Lunenburg, Lisa J. Jodice of Groton, Jacqueline M. Jodice of Lunenburg, Peter Jodice of Nashua, NH, and Christopher Jodice and his wife Jessica of Lunenburg, her grandchildren, Ashley, Rebecca, Kurtis and his wife Lexie, Travis, Ryan, Brecken, Nicole, and Cameron, her great grandson, Myles, her sister Wanda Hurley and her husband Tim of Hull, and her brother Gordon Hegarty of Hull. She was also predeceased by her brother, Clarence Hegarty, her sister, Sheila Trifone, and several other sisters and brothers. Funeral will be held on Wednesday, May 13th at 9:30 am from the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center, followed by a funeral Mass at 10:30 am in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord Center. Burial will follow in St. Bernard's Cemetery, Concord. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, May 12th from 4 to 8 pm in the Dee Funeral Home.
