Ilse C. (Kastner) Aschheim, died May 27, 2014, in Concord, MA of cancer. Beloved wife of the late Irving, mother of Frances of Lincoln, MA, the late David of Washington, D.C., and grandmother of Alexandra Feld of Brooklyn, NY. Sister of the late Howard Kastner. Born in Vienna, Austria, and emigrated to the U.S. in 1938. Met and married Irving in New York City in 1940. Resided in Brewster, NY in the charming 1790 farmhouse they restored; and in 1993 relocated to Somers, NY. Together Ilse and Irv traveled to Europe, spent many winters on the south coast of Portugal, and later in Venice, Florida. Both were avid bridge players. Recently, Ilse moved to Massachusetts to Concord Park Assisted Living, where she enjoyed the friendly warmth of staff and residents. Predeceased by Irving in 2005, and David in 1992.
