Howard Stanley Chin passed away on June 13, 2018, at the age of 91 years after a brief illness, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in 1926 in Boston, the youngest of 12 children of Chin Loy and Moy Shee. He was a graduate of English High School and Northeastern University. Mr. Chin served as a lieutenant junior grade in the U.S. Navy.
He was an electrical engineer at Raytheon and lived in Concord for 52 years. Mr. Chin was a warm, generous, thoughtful man who was genuinely interested in people and who loved being around family. He was a loving grandpa, and he cared for many of his siblings and family members as they grew older. He baked an amazing apple pie and cooked delicious barbeque chicken and clam chowder. He was a die-hard Boston sports fan.
Mr. Chin is survived by Jane Chin, his wife of 63 years, daughter Karin Yen and son-in-law Alfred Yen of Concord, son Marshall Chin and daughter-in-law Naoko Muramatsu of Chicago, son Bradford Chin of Concord, grandchildren Julie Yen of New York, Stephen Yen of New York, and Toshiro Chin of Chicago, and sister Flora Moy of Dedham.
A graveside service will be private.
