Holly A. Leadbetter-Carr, 63, of Lunenburg, formerly of Carlisle, died Tuesday March 6, 2018 in Worcester. She was the beloved wife of 34 years of Michael R. Carr.
Born in Clinton on October 19, 1954 she was the daughter of the late Howard Allyn Leadbetter I and Hazel K. (Vattes) Leadbetter. She attended Carlisle Public Schools and was a 1972 graduate of Concord-Carlisle High School, She later graduated from Middlesex Community College in Bedford and attended North Adams State College.
Mrs. Leadbetter-Carr retired in 2017 as a Bookkeeper after over 40 years of employment with Stop & Shop. She was a long time member of United Food and Commercial Worker's International Union Local 1445 (UFCW).
A Lunenburg resident since 1986, she was an active member of the Lunenburg Garden Club and Lunenburg Cultural Council. She also was a former volunteer at the Lunenburg Public Schools.
She enjoyed crafting, gardening, spending time at the lake, and enjoying time with her family.
In addition to her husband Michael, she is survived by two daughters, Emily B. Carr of Lunenburg and Abigail K. Abbott and her husband David of Ashburnham. She was the grandmother of Edoleah "Dolly" K. R. Abbott and sister of Cynthia Drysdale of Phoenix, AZ and Howard Allyn Leadbetter II and his wife Beth of Fitchburg. She was also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, March 9th from 4 to 7:30 pm at the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday March 10th at 10 am in Ashburnham Community Church, 84 Main Street, Ashburnham, Mass.
Interment will follow the service in Bellevue Cemetery, Harvard.
