Helen E. (Scollins) Cronin, of Acton and Osterville, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2022 at the age of 83. She was born in Boston on April 24, 1938. She was the beloved wife of Peter J. Cronin for 59 years. Devoted mother of Elizabeth M. Fogelgren and her late husband Andrew, Emily F. Ronchetti and her husband Jeffrey, Peter J. Cronin and his wife Stephanie, Edward J. Cronin and his wife Marina, Carolyn C. Finley and her husband Mark, Joseph P. Cronin and his wife Kelly, Patricia C. Sutton and her husband Gary, and Katrina M. Courtenay and her husband Daniel. Cherished grandmother of Alexander and Patrick Fogelgren; Mary, Grace, and Samuel Ronchetti; Sophia, Isabella, Cecilia, and Francesca Cronin; Edward, Angelina, and Anthony Cronin; Margaret, Jack, and Charles Finley; Fintan and Hazel Cronin; Helen Cronin Sutton and Alexander Sutton. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Daughter of the late Edward and Helen (Griffin) Scollins. Sister of the late Edward J Scollins and his late wife Carol. Sister-in-law of Most Rev. Daniel A. Cronin, retired Archbishop of Hartford, CT, Robert P. Cronin and his wife Sheila, and Joseph Cronin. As a longtime summer resident of Osterville, many of her happiest memories include being with family and friends on Dowses Beach. Family and friends are invited to gather for visiting hours on Sunday, January 23rd from 2 to 5 pm in the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, January 24th at 10:30 am in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord Center. Burial will follow at Holyhood Cemetery in Brookline. Arrangements are under the care of Dee Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Concord.
