ROMAN - Harriet Roth - formerly of Waltham, Somerville and East Sandwich, Nov. 5. Wife of the late Joseph E. Roman Jr. Daughter of the late Charles T. and Sophie (Oehler) Roth. Graduate of Traip Academy in Maine. Attended Northeastern University , Boston. Had a rewarding career in the field of metalography. Was a 30 year employee of G.E. in Lynn where she was first female winner of Professional/Technical Society Award in recognition of her dedication and commitment to the advancement of the American Society of Metals. First female chairman of the Boston chapter of ASM. Also worked at Watertown Arsenal Laboratories and on Research Staff of M.I.T. and at Nuclear Metals in Concord. Won many awards for her technical work and authored numerous articles published in books and technical journals. Accomplished organic gardener and cook. Visiting hours Sat. Nov.20th from 12 Noon to 2 pm in the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, CONCORD CENTER. Private interment Calvary Cemetery, Portsmouth, NH. Cemetery: Private interment Calvary Cemetery, Portsmouth, NH. Visitation: Visiting hours Sat. Nov.20th from 12 Noon to 2 pm in the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, CONCORD CENTER.
