Grace J. (Sullivan) Cogliano, 91, of Canton, died peacefully on Sunday, August 14th at home surrounded by family. She was the wife for 40 years of the late Frank C. Cogliano who died in 1987.
Mrs. Cogliano was born in Boston on December 7, 1924, the daughter of the late Francis P. Sullivan and Grace F. (Foley) Sullivan. She grew up in the Mission Hill area of Boston and attended Boston Public and Parochial schools.
A resident of Canton, she was a member of the Canton Garden Club. She enjoyed quilting, making lampshades, and was a fabulous cook.
Survivors include her children, Gregory P. Cogliano and his wife Betsy of Bedford, Elaine Cogliano Russell and her husband Miles of Lincoln, Franklin C. Cogliano and his spouse Ronald Richter of New York City, James P. Cogliano and his partner Wendy Copes of Concord, and Matthew Cogliano and his wife Laura McFadden of Somerville, her grandchildren, Jonathan, Frank Jeremy, Ian, Clayton, Luke, Reed, Ray, and Maya, and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Albert, Francis, and Charles Sullivan.
Funeral will be held on Wednesday, August 17th at 9:30 am from the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center, followed by a funeral Mass at 10:30 am in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord Center.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
Visiting hours at the Dee Funeral Home are Tuesday, August 16th from 4 to 8 pm.
