IN LOVING MEMORY OF
George Andrew
Davidson, Iii
March 19, 1967 – January 11, 2024
George Andrew Davidson III, of Gainesville, VA., formerly of Concord, MA., died on January 11, 2024, following a brief illness. He was 56. The beloved son of George and Vicki (Dee) Davidson, he was born on March 19, 1967, in Concord, MA., a town he always loved.
He was a 1985 graduate of Concord-Carlisle High School. While at CCHS, George held several class officer positions. He was a varsity member of the soccer and track teams. After high school, George graduated from Northeastern University with a degree in criminal justice.
Upon graduating from Northeastern, George moved to Washington, D.C., where he met his future wife, Allison. Together they blessed the family with two sons. George was a devoted husband and father who cherished and adored his wife and sons. His sons gave him great joy and he loved sharing what was going on in his boys' lives. He was a very proud father.
George will always be remembered for his friendly personality, sense of humor, and kindness. He enjoyed being with people and treasured the friendships he made throughout his life.
After graduating from high school, a summer trip to Europe prompted George's love for traveling. He enjoyed meeting new people, exploring new places, and learning about different cultures. After that trip, he became interested in the World Wars and became a World War II history buff. George was a self-taught cook and had fun searching out new recipes to make for family and friends.
A place which held a special spot in George's heart was Port Clyde, Maine, where his extended family would gather for summer vacations. He loved boating and being on the water, sitting at Marshall Point Lighthouse enjoying the surrounding beauty, picnicking with his family atop of Mt. Battie, taking his wife and sons to play in the Annual Davidson Putt-Putt Tournament, and family cookouts and lobster bakes. He loved recalling the many memories made in Port Clyde and making his family laugh with stories from the past.
George is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Allison (MacDougall) Davidson; his sons, George Andrew Davidson IV and Gregory Stephen Davidson; his parents, George and Vicki (Dee) Davidson of Concord, MA, his sister, Elaine Davidson of Concord, MA.; and his brother, Brian Davidson and his wife, Alice (Kang) Davidson of Concord, MA.
