Gary Steven Grant, 60, of North Bend, Washington, formerly of Concord, Mass. died Thursday March 6, 2014 in North Bend. Born in Concord on April 25. 1953 he was the loving son of Nancy 'Tina' Ferrara of Concord and the late Donald F. Grant. He attended Rose Hawthorne School in Concord and was a 1971 graduate of the former Xavier High School in Concord. In 1975, he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Fairfield University in Connecticut. For over twenty years he was employed by Digital Equipment Corporation in New England as a Sales Manager. He moved to Seattle, Washington in 1995 and was employed for over twenty years at EMC Corp. as Director of Sales and Strategic Alliance. An avid sports car enthusiast, he loved technology, music and photography. He also valued his many friendships throughout the world and his time spent as a youth soccer coach. In addition to his mother, survivors include his three children, Casey, Corey and Shelby Grant, all of Seattle, Washington; his brother Terry J. Grant and his wife Darlene of York Harbor, Maine; his sister-in-law Rhonda Grant Jewart of Pennsylvania; his nieces and nephews, Kaitlyn, Molly, Jason, Melissa, and Nicholas, and his aunt Beverly Frost of Lunenburg. He was also the brother of the late Donald L. Grant. Cemetery: Interment will follow the funeral service at St. Bernard's Cemetery, Concord. Visitation: Visiting hours will be held Friday March 14th from 12 noon to 3 pm in the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center. Service: A funeral service will follow the visiting hours on Friday March 14th in the Dee Funeral Home at 3 pm.
