IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Franklin M.
Hundley
March 10, 1935 – June 6, 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Franklin M. Hundley, who left us on June 6, 2025 at the age of 90. Mr. Hundley passed away peacefully at home with his wife, Priscilla, at his side.
Mr. Hundley was born to Alonza and Hilda Hundley on March 10, 1935 in Honolulu, Hawaii into a proud US Navy family. He spent the first few years of his life in Honolulu before the family was transferred to Kittery, Maine and then Portsmouth, New Hampshire, where he spent the formative years of his life. He always spoke fondly of and was very grateful for his life in Portsmouth. Upon graduating from Portsmouth High School in 1953, Frank received a Naval Reserve Officers' Training Corps scholarship to attend the College of the Holy Cross, in Worcester, Massachusetts, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree and was commissioned as an officer in the US Navy in 1957. He was the first college graduate and military officer in his family, an accomplishment looked at with great pride by his parents. After serving for three years in the US Navy, Frank attended Harvard Law School and received his Juris Doctor degree in 1963. He then had a successful and fulfilling law career of nearly 40 years with the law firm of Rich May, P.C., in Boston, and retired in 2003. Most importantly to Frank, during this time he met and married his love, friend and life partner of nearly 62 years, Priscilla (Cass) Hundley. Together they made a home and life in Belmont, Massachusetts, and raised three wonderful children. In retirement, Frank loved his time at the family's lakeside home in Eaton Center, New Hampshire. Frank was a respected attorney, a wonderful and loving husband and father, and a true gentleman to all. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Frank is survived by his wife, Priscilla (Cass) Hundley, his children, Sarah Hundley (Jon Garcia), Laura Hundley (Britt Swenson) and Gilbert Hundley (Shannon Doyle), and his grandson, Spencer Hundley.
