Obituary

Frank A. Domenichella, Jr., 85, formerly of Lincoln, MA and Summerfield, FL, died at the Courtyard Nursing Care Center in Medford on April 23, 2020. He was the beloved husband of the late Margaret K. "Peggy" (Lahnstein) Domenichella who died in 2014. Frank was born on December 24, 1934 as the son of the late Frank A. Domenichella Sr. and Mattie (Mazzeo) Domenichella. He grew up in Belmont, attended Belmont and Lincoln Schools, and graduated from Concord High School in 1952. As a young man, he assisted at the family owned restaurant and farm known as Green Haven Farms on Route 2A and Mill Street in Lincoln. As a retired member of Teamsters Local 25, he was a longtime Driver for Star Market Corporation as well as several other trucking companies in the Boston area. Frank retired in the early 1990s and resided in Summerfield, FL for eighteen years. He was a former member of Concord Ty-Rods Club and was a Past Exalted Ruler of the Concord Elks. He served in the 182nd Infantry of the Massachusetts National Guard for seven years. Frank also enjoyed hunting and traveling. He leaves behind four children, Frank A. Domenichella, III and his wife Bea of Leominster; Paul F. Domenichella and his wife Jeanne of Arlington, Stephen M. Domenichella of Missoula, MT and Mary M. O'Halloran and her husband Charles of Fitchburg; his grandchildren, Katherine and Rebekah Domenichella, Madeline and Peter Domenichella, and Gabrielle O'Halloran; one niece, Toni Cortelyou and husband Robert, one nephew, John F. Turano, and one great nephew, Christopher Turano. Frank was predeceased by his sister, Florence Turano and her husband Anthony J. Turano of NJ. Due to restrictions in light of COVID-19, Frank's immediate family will gather for a private burial service at Lincoln Cemetery. A celebration of his life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452 (www.alz.org). Arrangements are under the care of Dee Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Concord.
