Frances Elizabeth Groh aged 80, a resident of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, formerly of Wayland, MA. passed away after a brief illness in the presence of her husband and children on March 11, 2011. Born in New York City in 1931 she graduated from Cathedral High School, and was later married in St. Patrick's Cathedral. In 1962 she moved to Wayland, Massachusetts.
In the years to follow she attended Bentley College, received a degree as a Paralegal and went on to co-found a business providing employee recruiting services to firms in the accounting and legal fields.
In addition, she served a term as President of the Wayland Woman's Republican Club as well as consumer advocate for the Chrysler Corporation in connection with the automotive lemon law. She also volunteered as a consumer advocate in the Attorney General's office and with the International Red Cross.
Frances was always on the go. As a young girl, she was an avid roller skater. In later years, she attended gourmet cooking school, often making special foods from around the world for her family's dinner. She had a real flair for dressing and enjoyed designing clothing for herself and her children.
Over the years she learned to sail, play golf and stay calm while her husband piloted their small plane to special destinations. She travelled extensively with her husband and purchased a vacation home at Ballen Isles in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida in 1997. For twelve years she lived the life of a snow bird. They recently sold their home in Wayland to become full time residents in Florida.
Frances was a loving wife, mother and best friend. She will be sorely missed by her husband of sixty years, Norman, her three children; Laurel of Tampa, Florida, Kenneth and his wife Pauline of Framingham, MA. and Dianne of Concord, MA; her three grandsons, Johannes, Alexander and Christian Wesselhoeft all of Concord, MA., many cousins and friends.

Interment will be in South Cemetery, Wayland, MA at the convenience of the family.
