Obituary

Florence Theresa (Towey) Weadock, 85, of Concord, MA and Kennebunkport, ME, died peacefully in the comfort of her Concord home while surrounded by the loving embrace of her four children on June 27, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late Daniel P. Weadock, who passed away in 2005.

She was born on March 29, 1939 as the eldest of five children of the late Thomas and Florence (Logan) Towey. While growing up in The Bronx of New York City, her family were active parishioners of the Church of St. Luke. Her upbringing in the city and being raised by hard working Irish immigrant parents played a significant role in shaping the person she became. Strong moral values and an unwavering devotion to family and faith were constants in her life.

Florence spent a significant portion of her adult life raising her family in Brussels, Belgium. Always putting family first, she steadfastly supported her husband during his successful career as a Corporate Executive. After her husband's passing, Florence rose to become the family Matriarch, leading with an unwavering commitment to her principles and values. She was a woman of great strength and character. Her love for family knew no bounds.

She spent many enjoyable years in Concord, MA, Kennebunkport, ME and John's Island, Vero Beach, FL, where she lived for the last chapters of her life.

Florence will be forever missed by her four loving children, Daniel Weadock of Hingham, Bryan Weadock and his wife Elyse of Darien, CT, Kevin Weadock of Bolton and Ann Specht and her partner Mark Richard of Concord. Her legacy will also live on in her thirteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren, who affectionately knew her as Grandma. She was the sister of Anita McGrath of Orlando, FL, John Towey of Sarasota, FL and the late Thomas and James Towey.
