Evelyn M. (Kaplan) Flavin, 84, of Concord, died Saturday, August 13, 2011. She was the beloved wife of 63 years of the late John F. Flavin. She was the mother of Barbara Richardson and her husband Gov. Bill Richardson of Sante Fe, New Mexico, Dorothy Gardner and her husband Steve of Belfast, Maine, Jane Walsh and her husband Bill of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Nancy Lord and her husband Ben of Alpharetta, Georgia and John F. Jr. of Reston, Virginia and grandmother of Chris Gardner, Brendan Gardner, Louisa Lord, Caroline Lord and Amelia Flavin and great grandmother of Gabriela Gardner. She was also the sister of the late Bud, Eleanor and Marilyn and beloved owner of Gigi. Evelyn was an avid equestrian and golfer who loved long summer days on the beaches of Cape Cod. Cemetery: Burial will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery, Concord. Visitation: Visitation at the Dee Funeral home will be held on Tuesday, August 16th from 3 to 5 PM. Service: Funeral Mass Wednesday, August 17 at 11 AM in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord Center.
