Evelyn A. (Butcher) Brannen, 92, of Needham, Feb.12, 2014. Loving mother of Albert Winget, Jr. of Dracut, Joyce Locklin of Marlborough, Nancy Seitz and her husband Peter of Hull, and adopted daughter Sandy Schechter of Brooklyn, New York. Pre-deceased by her beloved daughter Beverly Winget and her sister Irene (Butcher) Placey of Vermont. Adored grandmother of 9 grandchildren: Albert H. Winget, III (currently serving in the U.S. Army in Korea), Jennifer McInnis of Dracut; Jonathan (Jack) Campbell of Marlborough, Deborah (Campbell) Granger, Theresa (Campbell) Maher of Florida, Eric Campbell of Marlborough; Crystal Seitz of Brookline, Amber Seitz of Hull, and Adam Schechter of Brooklyn, New York; 12 great grandchildren: Karl Siniawski, Naomi Myhaver, Dana Myhaver, Megan Granger, Zachary Granger, Justin Mackenzie Granger, Nicole Campbell, Samantha Campbell, Jonathan Campbell, Scott McInnis, Zachary McInnis, and Jane Schechter; 8 great, great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild to be. Evelyn graduated from Belmont High School, class of 1940. She was a Patriotic American and proud lifelong member of the Republican Party. Evelyn was honored on the World War II Memorial in Washington D.C. for her work at Vought-Sikorsky Aircraft Plant in Stratford, Connecticut. She was a proud resident of Needham for more than fifty years and a long time employee of the Needham Water Department until her retirement. Evelyn was an avid line and ballroom dancer, which she credited with keeping her fit until recently.
