Evan Charles LeCompte, age 37, of Boston, formerly of Strafford, New Hampshire, died suddenly on November 12, 2021.
Born on March 26, 1984, Evan was raised in Strafford. During his youth, he attended the Montessori, Deerfield and Strafford schools before graduating from Coe-Brown Northwood Academy. Evan completed his education at Keene State College, where he earned a BA in Psychology.
Most recently, he was a Systems Development Engineer for Amazon Web Services, and previously worked for MassMutual, Staples, and Quoin. A technology wiz, he had an innate ability to customize electronics and create parts using his 3D printer. He also enjoyed welding and fixing things. Evan held memberships with Boston Toastmasters and the Landmark Forum of Boston.
Evan will be remembered as an outgoing, energetic, and fun people-person. He was a wonderful, loving son. Evan treasured time spent with his friends, and his incredible sense of humor brought joy to everyone. Evan loved being outdoors in a canoe on Sampson Pond in the Adirondacks or sitting by the fire with his family and friends.
Evan leaves behind and will be forever missed by his father, Andrew LeCompte and his wife Brenda Asis of Weston, his mother, Jan (Siedelmann) Stiles and her husband Gary J. Stiles of Bluffton, SC, an aunt and uncle, Anne & Bill Fisher of Lexington, and three cousins, Katherine Fisher and William Fisher and Derek Siedelmann.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visiting hours on Friday, November 19 from 4 to 7 pm in the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord, MA. A memorial service celebrating Evan's life will be held on Saturday, November 20 at 11 am. All are welcome to join them in Zoom or in-person at First Parish, 50 Church Street, Waltham, MA. Interment will be private at a later date.
