Eunice D.Knight of Concord, formerly of Carlisle, Mass., died on Thursday Aug. 12, 2010 at Lifecare of Nashoba Valley in Littleton, Mass.
Born in New York City and raised in Rutherford, N.J., she was the daughter of Allison and Helen Davis Dugdale. Mrs. Knight graduated from Wellesley College in 1950 and received a M.A. in Education from Lesley College. She earned a certificate in Landscape Design from Radcliffe College. Among her community work, she chaired the Carlisle Conservation Commission and was a president of the Garden Club of Concord.
She is predeceased by Dr. James B. Knight, a surgeon at Emerson Hospital. Survivors include her sons, James B. Knight Jr. of San Francisco and Timothy D. Knight of Acton, and her daughters, Anne Knight Weber of Chicago, Ill., and Laura Knight Moretz of Winston-Salem, N.C., a daughter-in-law, Anne Holmes Knight, and a son-in-law, Brian L. Moretz. She leaves three grandsons, J.J. Weber, Thomas J. Moretz and William H. Moretz. She also leaves a companion, William Siebert of Jackson NH and Concord, Mass.
A service will be held held at First Parish Church in Concord, Mass. on Aug. 17 at 11 am. Donations may be sent to the James B. Knight Memorial Education Fund at Emerson Hospital in Concord, Mass.
