Emilia K. (Remenyi) Honig, 94, of Bedford, MA, formerly of Riverdale, NY, died on Monday, May 7, 2018 at Carleton-Willard Village, following a long illness. She was the wife of the late Dr. Alexander S. Honig who died in 1988. Born in Pécs, Hungary on April 11, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Janos and Anna (Orlovszky) Remenyi. In 1948, Mrs. Honig arrived in the United States and initially resided in Manhattan, where she assisted at her aunt's salon as a hair stylist. She was a resident of Riverdale, New York from 1969 until 2010. The many dinner parties she hosted, which was complemented by her fabulous cooking and baking, are cherished memories for her family and friends. She enjoyed crewel embroidery, needlework, and her vast collection of antique dolls. She is survived by her devoted son, Peter Honig and his wife Sara of Concord, MA, two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Andrew Honig, and one great grandchild, Wyatt Honig. She was predeceased by her brother, John Remenyi. She will be laid to rest during a graveside service on Monday, May 14th at Kensico Cemetery in Valhalla, NY. Arrangements are under the care of Dee Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Concord.
