Elizabeth "Bette" Hodgins Paparello, 90, a woman loved by all who knew her, passed away peacefully at Rivercrest Rehab & Nursing Center in Concord on May 3, 2021, due to complications from Parkinson's Disease. A longtime Concord resident, she was the devoted wife for 68 years of Frank Paparello.
Bette and Frank have lived in Concord for 54 years, after leaving New Jersey where Bette was an elementary school teacher. Once in Concord, Bette became an active volunteer at Emerson Hospital and Holy Family Parish, as well as a member of Milldames for many years.
As a member of Nashawtuc Country Club for 33 years, Bette enjoyed golfing and socializing. Together with her husband Frank, Bette traveled the world, visiting many European countries as well as China and Africa. Bette lived a wonderful life and will be greatly missed.
In addition to her husband, she leaves behind her children, Stephanie Hays and her husband Michael, Scott Paparello and his wife Anne, and Kimberley Vaccari and her husband Michael. Bette also leaves behind three grandchildren, Henry Hays and his wife KellyGene, Charlie Paparello and Francesca Paparello, as well as a great grandson, Shepard Hays.
Family and friends will gather for a Funeral Mass at Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord Center on Thursday, June 10th at 10 am.
