Elizabeth M. "Betty" (McNally) Finigan, 91, of Norwood, formerly of Concord, died Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Charlwell House in Norwood. She was the beloved wife for 44 years of the late J. Edward Finigan. Born in Clinton on May 16, 1923 she was the daughter of the late William F. and Grace C. (Kerrigan) McNally. She attended Concord schools, graduated from Concord High School in 1941 and Regis College with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology in 1945. A longtime Concord resident, Mrs. Finigan resided in Naples, Florida from 1992 until 2002 when she moved to South Berwick, Maine. She has been a resident of Norwood since 2006. She was the beloved mother of seven children, Anne M. Doane and her husband Carl of Lake Bluff, IL, James E. Finigan and his wife Virginia of Plymouth, Julie F. McPhillips and her husband David of Pembroke, Paul M. Finigan and his wife Agnes of West Chester, PA and Niantic, CT., Elizabeth G. Finigan, MD of Rochester, NY, Barbara F. Fitzgerald and her husband Paul of Westwood and Col. Robert J. Finigan, US Army, and his wife Jana of Edmund, OK. She is survived by her sister Anne Dalrymple of Naples, FL, 15 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late William F. McNally, Jr. and grandmother of the late 1st Lt. Brian McPhillips, USMC. Funeral will be held on Wednesday, April 1st from the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, CONCORD CENTER at 9 am followed by a funeral Mass at Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord at 10 am Burial will follow in St. Bernard's Cemetery, Concord. Visiting hours at the Dee Funeral Home will be held on Tuesday, March 31st from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm.
