Eleanor (Maroney) Wilson, age 93, of Concord, MA, passed on November 8, 2021. She is survived by her four children: Suellen and Jeffrey Wheeler of Concord, MA, Geoffrey and Sandra Wilson of Leland, NC, Eric and Madelene Wilson of Concord, MA, and F. James Wilson of Santa Monica, CA. Eleanor was blessed with 11 grandchildren who she loved dearly: Jay, Tucker and Katie Wheeler, Jonathan, Matthew and Trevor Wilson, Westley, Blake and Carter Wilson, Jack and Harry Wilson. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 32 years, Fredric James Wilson, Jr. her brother Fredrick B. Maroney and her sister Elizabeth A. Maroney (Betty). Eleanor was born in Passaic, New Jersey September 3, 1928, after graduating from Passaic High School she attended Drake School of Business. Working at Seventeen Magazine, Eleanor met her future husband Fredric, and they were married in Bronxville, NY, May 22nd, 1954. They moved to Old Greenwich, CT, where they spent 31 years raising their family. Eleanor moved to Naples, FL, in 1990 before moving to Concord, MA in 2015 to be close to her family again. Eleanor was an active volunteer with the Catholic Pro-Christo organization and the Greenwich Junior League. She was the founder and owner of New Leaf Associates, a premier estate sale and auction business in Greenwich, CT. Relatives and friends will gather for a Memorial Service in the Duvall Chapel at Newbury Court, 80 Deaconess Rd., Concord, MA on Saturday, December 4th at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to the Alzheimer's Association, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472 (www.alz.org).
