Edward Michael Roletti, 89, passed away on August 16th in Concord, MA surrounded by his family.
Ed was born in Los Angeles, CA to Gabriel & Edna Roletti on May 3, 1932. He found incredible joy in spending time with his family and seeing his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren flourish as well as reading multiple books every week as he reminded everyone that his mother always said, "if you enjoy reading, you'll never be bored for a day in your life." Growing up in Southern California, he graduated from University of Southern California, served in the US Navy during the Korean War, and ran the family trucking company, Paxton Trucking. He was deeply devoted to his friends and family and an active member of his Catholic community.
Ed is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 68 years, Patricia Paxton Roletti; children Susan Roletti Franklin (Wayne), Michael Roletti (Debbie), and Thomas Roletti; sister Gabrielle Roletti Lien; grandchildren Jason Franklin, Barrett Franklin (Lea), Shannon Franklin Hegarty (Terence), and Michael Allan Roletti; and great grandchildren Charlotte Hegarty, James Franklin, Isla May Franklin, and Emilia Hegarty. He is preceded in death by his parents Gabriel & Edna and his siblings Barney, Maureen, and Mary Joyce.
Relatives and friends will gather for a Funeral Mass on Thursday, September 30th at 10 am in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord Center. Officers of the United States Navy will present military honors at the conclusion of the Mass.
Concord's Town Flag will fly at half-staff on Thursday, September 30th in honor of Ed's Naval service during the Korean War.
