Edward J. McCrystal Jr., 96, of Concord, MA, formerly of Rehoboth, MA and Hyannis Port, MA, died in his residence at Concord Park on Friday, August 23, 2019. He was the husband of the late Mary (Veolitze) McCrystal and the late Eileen (McHugh) McCrystal.
Born in Attleboro, MA on October 11, 1922, he was the son of the late Edward J. McCrystal Sr. and Sarah (Flanagan) McCrystal.
A veteran of the Army Air Corps, he proudly served his country as part of the 467th Bombardment Group during World War II. He was a graduate of Brown University, and a business executive up until retirement.
Mr. McCrystal was an avid golfer. He was a longtime member and past president of Pawtucket Country Club, and a member of the Hyannisport Club.
He leaves behind two sons, Neil McCrystal of Westerly, RI and Mark McCrystal and his wife Anne of Concord, MA as well as two grandchildren, Matthew and John McCrystal, a great granddaughter, Juliana McCrystal, and many nieces and nephews. He was also the father of the late Edward J. McCrystal III and brother of the late Rita Morton, Vincent McCrystal, and Robert McCrystal.
He will be buried during a private service at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Centerville, MA.
