Edward C. Mabbs, peacefully died at his home in Lincoln, Massachusetts on May 20, 2013. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Margaret E., nee von Paulsen; his sister, Helen M. Brickman; three children, Chris, Kenneth, and Meg Anne; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Mr. Mabbs was born in St. Louis, MO to Ralph I. and Anna Renner Mabbs, and grew up in East Orange, NJ. In 1943 he graduated from Cornell University and married Margaret. He served as Artillery officer in Europe during World War II, followed by a career in industrial management with Union Carbide, American Chain and Cable, and Rockwell International before founding InCom International in 1975 from the Industrial Components Group of Rockwell where he was Group President. He retired as Chairman and CEO of L.B. Foster in 1986 to a home he built on Plantation Key, FL. He and Margaret have enjoyed a summer home on Nantucket since 1970, and have lived in Lincoln, MA since 2001.
