Edith M. (Weckstrom) McGrath, 99, of Concord died Saturday November 24, 2012 in Concord. She was the beloved wife of the late John B. 'Jack' McGrath. Born in Maynard on May 14, 1913 she was the daughter of the late Carl Weckstrom and Emma (Lindstrom) Weckstrom. She was a 1931 graduate of Maynard High School. For many years Mrs. McGrath worked as a bookkeeper at Concord Clothing Store, Maynard Supply Company and for the Concord Visiting Nurses Association. She was a long time member and golfer at the Maynard Country Club, and also enjoyed swimming, traveling and was an avid sports fan. She is survived by her two daughters, Ann Stampfer and her husband Dr. Kenneth Stampfer of Belmont, and Sharon McGrath and her husband James McGrath of Marshfield, five grandchildren , nine great-grandchildren, and sister-in-law Kathleen McGrath. She was also the sister of the late Tyyne, Celia, Raymond, Leo , Helen and Ruth. Services will be private. Service: Services will be private.
