Dr. Perla Minda (Santos) Kissmeyer-Nielsen, M.D., 83, formerly of Concord, died Friday, August 1st at Miriam Boyd Parlin Residence in Wayland. She was the beloved wife of the late Erik Kissmeyer-Nielsen who died in 2012. Born in the Philippines on January 16, 1931 she was the daughter of the late Teodorico and Fidela Santos. Dr. Kissmeyer-Nielsen graduated from the University of the Philippines Medical School. For over thirty-eight years, she worked as a Psychiatrist at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Manchester, NH and Bedford, MA. Survivors include her son, Paul E. Kissmeyer-Nielsen and his wife Monica of Gibsonia, PA, her daughter, Kirsten Y. Kissmeyer of Cambridge, her grandchildren, Annabelle, Elizabeth, Paul and Patrick Kissmeyer-Nielsen, and her sisters, Leticia Santos, Rizalina Santos Silva, and Bessie Santos Idea, all of the Philippines. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 8th at 10 am in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord Center. Burial will follow in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Concord.
