Obituary

Dorothy M. (Welch) Bolton, age 87, of Acton, formerly of Stow and Concord, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her adoring family on Thursday, August 2, 2018. She was the devoted wife for 60 years of Richard E. Bolton, Sr. Born on March 1, 1931, in Wilmington, MA, she was the loving daughter of the late Paul Revere Welch and Gertrude (Morris) Welch. Family was the most important thing to Dorothy. She lived her life showering her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren with love, affection and support. In addition to her husband, she leaves behind her children, Richard E. Bolton, Jr. and his wife Teri, Diana Theriault and her husband Gregg, Sally Murray and her husband Kevin, Ann-Marie Suglia and her husband Jim, and John Bolton and his fiancée Wanda Hayden, as well as twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Family and friends will gather for visiting hours on Sunday, August 5th from 2 to 5 pm in the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center. Her funeral will be held on Monday, August 6th at 9 am from the Dee Funeral Home, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 am in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord Center. Burial will follow at Newton Cemetery. Contributions in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org). Arrangements are under the care of Dee Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Concord.
