Doris M. McElroy, 84, of Woburn, died Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at Concord Health Care Center in Concord. Born in Cambridge on July 20, 1926 she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Jane (Cox) McElroy. She grew up in Lincoln and graduated from Waltham High School. For forty years, prior to her retirement, Miss McElroy was employed with Boston Edison Company. A 40 year resident of Woburn, she was an active volunteer with the Little Sisters of the Poor. Survivors include her godson and nephew, Wayne Busa and his wife Heather of Concord, a goddaughter and niece, Joanne Lentine of Devens, grand-nieces and nephews, Heath, Drew, Brittany, Ashley, David, Paul and Jessica, and several great grand nieces and nephews. She was also the loving sister of the late Janet Russ and beloved cousin of the late Mildred Walters and her husband Charles. Memorials: Contributions in her memory may be made to Geanne Juggan Residence, Little Sisters of the Poor, 186 Highland Avenue, Somerville, MA 02145. Cemetery: Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham. Visitation: Visitation will be held on Friday morning, March 11thfrom 8 am to 9:00 am at the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center. Service: Funeral Mass, Friday, March 11th at 9:30 am in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord Center.
