Obituary

Doris Ann (Park) Carr, 90, a resident of Concord died Thursday Oct. 2, 2014 in Concord. She was the beloved wife of 62 years of the late Arthur L. Carr and mother of Robert E. Carr and his wife Nancy of Concord and Nancy A. Robinson and her husband Arthur of Dracut. She was also the grandmother of Robert Carr and his partner Kenneth A. Elmer, Kimberly Head and her husband John, Robert Williamson, Michael Ducharme and his wife Kristen, Kristen Locke and her husband James and Holli Robinson and great grandmother of Jocelyn and Lucas Head, Eliza Williamson and Gavin McGrath. Born in Worcester on March 15, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Charles W. and Regina H. (Phaneuf) Park. She grew up in Marlboro and attended St. Ann's Academy in Marlboro. A Concord resident since 1947, she was past president and treasurer of the Concord Culture Club, and a former member of the Concord Country Club and Concord Garden Club. For several years she wintered in Boynton Beach, Florida where she pursued her love of oil painting. Funeral will be held Thursday Oct. 9th from the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center at 9 am followed by a funeral Mass in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord Center at 10 am. Interment will follow in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Concord. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday Oct. 8th from 3 to 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Rivercrest Renovation Fund, 80 Deaconess Rd., Concord, MA 01742.
