IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Donna N.
Ballou
January 24, 1943 – March 21, 2023
Donna Nancy (Cutter) Ballou, age 80, of Valrico, FL, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2023. A former resident of Acton, MA for 55 years, Donna was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother "Nonnie".
She was born on January 24, 1943 in Keene, NH to her late parents, Howard and Frances (King) Cutter.
Donna was known for her quick wit and great sense of humor. She is remembered fondly by her family and friends, who will certainly miss her laugh and conversations, as her most impressive skill was her "gift of gab". She was an enthusiastic and loyal New England Patriots fan; especially #50 Rob Ninkovich, proudly wearing his jersey on Sundays. Donna was also an animal lover. She doted on her late 17-year-old cat, Yahootie, who she adopted as a rescue from Hurricane Katrina. Donna even corresponded with the shelter in New Orleans to learn as much as she could about her beloved feline.
Donna was hard working and enjoyed the fast-paced real estate industry. She worked for Century 21 in Acton, MA as an Accountant before moving to Coldwell Banker in Concord Center. Donna cherished her work friends and retired from Coldwell Banker in 2012.
Above all, Donna was extremely proud of her family. Donna is survived by her husband of 59 years, Richard Ballou Jr., treasured sons, Richard III (Cindy) of Jacksonville, FL, Jeffrey (Amy) of Valrico, FL, and daughter, Kristin Ballou Cianci (Derek) of Groton, MA, her adored grandchildren, Alexander, Dylan, and Isabella Cianci, Madison, Morgan, Ainsley, Teagan Ballou, and Harrison Hawk, as well as her sister Cynthia (Cutter) Georgina of Keene, NH, a sister-in-law, Carollynn Cutter of Nashua, NH, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Donna was predeceased by her sister, Barbara (Doody) Bayly, and brother, Steven Cutter.
Family and friends will gather for visiting hours on Wednesday, March 29th from 4 to 7 pm at Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, March 30th at 10:30 am at St. Bernard's Church in Holy Family Parish, 12 Monument Square, Concord Center. Private burial will follow at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in Concord.
Donations may be made in her memory to Pat Brody, Shelter for Cats , 499 Northfield Road, Lunenburg, MA 01462.
Arrangements are entrusted to Dee Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Concord.
