Donald R. Brown, 62, of Concord, formerly of Waltham, died Sunday, April 27, 2014 at Emerson Hospital in Concord. He was the longtime companion of Gloria M. Mirick and father of Jennifer Brown, both of Concord. Born in Waltham on October 10, 1951, he was the son of the late Reginald H. and Alice (Vadeboncoeur) Brown. He attended Waltham public schools, Waltham High School and Bridgewater State College where he studied Hotel-Motel Management. A longtime Concord resident, he enjoyed camping, and Weirs Beach in New Hampshire. He was a devoted and protective father, and his greatest joy was in raising his daughter, Jennifer. In addition to his longtime companion, Gloria, and their daughter, Jennifer, he is survived by 2 brothers, Joseph W. Brown of Townsend and Reginald H. Brown of Worcester,1 sister, Bonnie L. Brown of Dorchester, nieces, nephews and many cousins. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to a charity of your choice. No services are planned.
