Obituary

Dolores M. (Prioli) Murphy, resident of Needham, formerly of Dedham, passed away on Saturday, May 26th, 2018 after battling Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) with remarkable courage, resilience and grace. She was the daughter of the late Frank J. Prioli and the late Aurora F. Prioli, she was born in Boston on September 27th, 1950. Dolores was the beloved wife of the late Kevin J. Murphy for 44 years. She was the devoted mother of Kevin M. Murphy of Beverly, Christina M. Murphy of Jamaica Plain, and Kerri M. Schubert of Concord, the dedicated mother-in-law of Christian R. Schubert and Gwenn A. Murphy, the cherished grandmother of Leo M. Schubert, Charlie A. Schubert, Catherine A. Schubert, Camdyn A. Murphy and the soon to be Colbie D. Murphy, and beloved aunt to Sean Fleming. Dolores is also survived by her sister Andrea Fleming, and her brothers, Paul and Richard Prioli and their respective families. A retired pre-school teacher and successful Children's Publishing Company Co-owner, Dolores was loved and revered by children and adults alike. She was a wonderful example to her kids through the unconditional love, kindness and humor she shared with her husband. Dolores loved animals, especially dogs. She volunteered at SPCA of Central Florida and treasured time spent with her late grand-dog Levi and the late family dog Callie. Words can't describe how much she was loved and how deeply she will be missed. Services will be private.
