Deborah "Deb" Rizzitano, 58, of Maynard, formerly of Concord and Acton died Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at her Maynard home surrounded by family and friends. Born in Waltham on May 6, 1954 she was the daughter of the late Dominic Rizzitano of Concord and Theresa Olivo of Waltham. She attended Rpse Hawthorne School, graduated from Concord Carlisle High School, and studied nursing at the Waltham-Weston School of Nursing. For 30 years, Deb worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Most recently, she worked at Life Care of Nashoba Valley in Littleton and as the night supervisor at Life Care of Acton. She was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening and had a keen interest in history. She loved to travel, especially to the White Mountains of New Hampshire. She had an impeccable sense of humor. She accepted everyone for who they were and didn't judge people. She was very opinionated when she felt strongly about what she believed in. She enjoyed baking, Italian cooking, and barbecues. Survivors include, her daughter, Alanna Rizzitano and her partner of six years, Joshua S. Collinge, both of Maynard, and her niece, Christina Hancock, her nephew, Larry Hancock and her great nephew, Dashaun Hancock, all whom she was guardian and raised as her own. She is also survived by her two brothers, Kenneth Rizzitano of Concord and Dominic Rizzitano and his wife Catherine of Medfield; her two sisters, Charlene Hancock of Acton and Andrea Rizzitano of Waltham; her nephew and niece, Nickey and Lauren Rizzitano, both of Medfield and her dear friends, Pauline and Warren Goller of Acton, Fran Reynolds of Westford, Anne Powers of Maynard, Melissa McDonald of Chester, NH, Lisa Phanauf and Brenda DesJean, both of Stow. Cemetery:
Burial will be in the family burial plot in St. Bernard's Cemetery, Concord.
Visitation:
Visiting hours at the Dee Funeral Home will be held on Monday, December 3rd from 5 to 8 PM.
Service:
Funeral will be held on Tuesday, December 4th from the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center at 9 AM followed by a funeral Mass in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord Center at 10 AM.
