Deborah Marie "Debbie" Porthouse, of Westford, died on May 23, 2022 from cancer.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Gregg Ames and their loving daughter, Alison Ames both from Westford. She was beloved by her parents, Suzanne Foley and Jon Sirotof of Concord, and the late Robert Porthouse. She was very close and dear to her sisters, Leslie Porthouse Carroll, Alexa Sirotof Snay and the late Lauren Porthouse. She will be missed by her nephews, Jake and Sean Carroll of Acton, her niece Natalie Snay and her aunt, Cheryl Welcome. She leaves behind an extended circle of friends and family who will all miss her sense of humor and her contagious laugh.
Debbie is a graduate of Belmont High School's class of 1991, and holds a certificate from Bentley College in Human Resources. Debbie was the Human Resources Manager and After School manager for A Place To Grow Childcare. Her two greatest joys were being a mother to Alison and a teacher to children in afterschool at the Stratton School in Arlington. Debbie's many talents include writing poems and songs for every occasion, creating curriculum, hosting Alison's friends for parties, and cooking for her family and friends.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Debbie's life during a memorial service at First Parish, 20 Lexington Road, Concord Center on Saturday, May 28th at 11 am. For those who wish to attend the service remotely via church livestream, please access the following link:
