Obituary

Dauna M. (Delaney) Musick, 77, of Concord, died peacefully at home while surrounded by her beloved family on June 30, 2022. She was the loving wife of A. Lee Musick, Jr., for 50 years. Dauna was born in Boston on April 26, 1945, as the daughter of the late Raymond and Virginia (Sheehan) Delaney. Dauna was born following the deployment of 1stLt. Delaney's to the WWII Pacific Theatre, where he died in action. His death resulted in her being raised as the only child in a Gold Star Family. She attended Milton public schools, before earning her undergraduate degree from Emmanuel College in Boston. Subsequently, she completed a Master's of Arts in Social Work from Boston College. During her professional life, Dauna was a devoted Social Worker for Catholic Charities of Boston heading the Unwed Mothers Group. Moving to Virginia, she was the Director of Social Service at Arlington Hospital in Arlington, Virginia. A later move back to New England to Concord in 1979, she was affiliated with the Garden Club of Concord as well as various Parent Teacher Organizations in the Concord school system. Throughout her life she was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox, a love that originated from the quality time spent with her own grandfather following the team. Family was at the center of Dauna's life. In addition to her husband, she leaves behind her daughter, Kara McCormick and her husband Kevin of Northborough, and her son, Christopher Musick and his wife Kristen of Acton, along with five grandchildren, Allyson, Meghan and Matthew McCormick, and Brayden and Taylor Musick. She was an adoring grandmother to all of her grandchildren, supporting and loving them in every way possible, always showing up. She will be greatly missed for her fun-loving and caring nature. Her dedication to her family and friends will be dearly missed, but they will always hold onto the amazing memories of her.
