Dan was born in Concord, attended Rose Hawthorne School and graduated from Concord Carlisle High School. Dan worked in the Transportation Industry driving all types of trucks delivering and hauling all types of things from gravel to paper to scientific equipment across the county. He loved being behind the wheel on the road in the truck or on his motorcycle; but more than that he loved his time at home with his family. He was not a man of many words, but of actions. He was the first person to help. He found joy spending time on and by the water at Lake Winnepesaukee. He enjoyed hunting, sports, reading and the outdoors. He could fix just about anything. He enjoyed making small talk with anyone he would run into, working on cars and puttering with the pool until the water was just right. He looked forward to pick up games of hockey and league play when his knees allowed. He was very generous donating his time and money to his favorite charities which included the Epilepsy Foundation, Wounded Warriors and the yearly motorcycle Ride for Kids.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday November 16th from 4 to 8 pm in the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation of New England in Dan's name at 335 Main Street, Unit 8 Wilmington MA 01887.
