Daniel J. Cullinane, Sr., age 91, a lifelong Concord resident, died at home with his family by his side on Saturday, December 23, 2017. For 69 years, he was the cherished husband of Eleanor M. (Haynes) Cullinane. He was born in Melrose on August 25, 1926, the son of the late Matthew and Margaret (Meade) Cullinane. For twenty-six years, Mr. Cullinane was employed by Concord Oil Company and retired from Webb Supply in Framingham. He was a longtime member of the Concord Elks, and enjoyed his membership at Maynard Country Club. In addition to his wife, he leaves behind eight of his nine children, Kathleen Barber and her husband John of Acton, Patrick Cullinane of Clinton, Timothy Cullinane of Sterling, Mary A. Cullinane Martin and her husband Steve of Lancaster, William Cullinane and his wife Wendy of Sterling, John Cullinane of Concord, Kelly Cullinane of Sterling, and Thomas Cullinane of Shirley, thirteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, his brother, Donald Cullinane and his wife Beverly of Shirley, and many nieces and nephews. He was also the father of the late Daniel Cullinane, Jr., and brother to the late Matthew, Leonard, and Edward Cullinane, Barbara Ryan, Patricia Napolitano, Margaret McDonnell, Claire Eannuzzo, and Olive Lalli. Relatives and friends are invited to gather for visiting hours on Tuesday, December 26th from 4 to 8 pm in the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center. His funeral will take place on Wednesday, December 27th at 9 am from the Dee Funeral Home, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 am in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord Center. Burial will follow at St. Bernard's Cemetery in Concord.
