Claire C. (Berube) Gower, a resident of Concord for many years, passed away at home on September 28, 2025 at the age of 88. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 58 years, William F. Gower, who died in 2018.

Born in Salem on September 16, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Jean Paul Berube, Sr. and B. Yvonne (St. Pierre) Berube.

Claire was the devoted mother of three sons, Michael Gower of Portland, OR, John Gower and his wife Linda of Acton, and Scott Gower of Maynard. She also leaves behind Margaret Clemens of New York and Glenn Berube of Hawaii, who she helped raise. She was a proud grandmother to 8 grandchildren and soon to be 10 great-grandchildren. She was the sister of Paul Berube and his wife Sally of Texas and the aunt of Elaine Burns of Florida.

Claire will be laid to rest during a private burial service on October 2, 2025 at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in Concord.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital .
