Christopher Thomas Hewitt, known as "Hewitt", passed away on Sunday, October 28, 2018. He was born on December 21, 1977 on Cape Cod and, like his beloved mother, the late Margaret Shaffer, always loved the beach and ocean. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, riding his four-wheeler, spending time with friends and cheering for the Patriots. He will be lovingly remembered as a free spirit who especially cherished his wide and devoted group of long-time friends and work colleagues. Hewitt leaves behind his beloved partner Rosalyn Melendez and their dog Saddie. Hewitt is survived by his stepfather Ken Shaffer, his aunt Mary Strasser and her spouse Chris, aunt Ann Sullivan and her spouse Duke and uncle Tom Sherman, as well as several cousins. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 18th at Blue Coyote, 137 Main St, Maynard, MA from 2:00 to 5:00 pm. Arrangements are under the care of Dee Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Concord.
