Chuck grew up in Amherst, New York, spent summers at the family cottage in Sandy Pond, NY and pitched for the high school baseball team. He graduated from Amherst Central High School and later served as President of the Alumni Association. Chuck attended Clarkson College, where he was a member of the Sigma Delta fraternity and active in numerous organizations and clubs. Chuck had a long career as an insurance sales and pension fund development agent for Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance Company (now MassMutual). He received the professional designation of Chartered Life Underwriter and was recognized as a high achiever, with numerous National Quality Awards, Sales Achievement Awards and Agent of the Year. A loving husband and father, Chuck actively participated in the lives of his children. He taught them to swim, fish, bowl and so much more. When they were young, he coached their little league softball and baseball teams. Chuck enjoyed bowling, golf and travel. He and Kim traveled in Europe, the US and made frequent trips to Korea and Japan. They honeymooned in Hawaii and it remained a favorite destination throughout his life.
