Charles P. Rogers, 89, of Concord, Mass., formerly of Oradell, New Jersey died Sunday May 29, 2011 in Concord. He was the beloved husband of 59 years of the late Jean F. (Jaronko) Rogers. He was born in Jersey City, New Jersey on March 4, 1922 and attended Jersey City schools. From 1939 until 1940 he served in Civilian Conservation Corps at Fort Dix, New Jersey. During World War II Mr. Rogers was a Sergeant in the United States Army Air Corps 486th Bomb Training Squadron, serving in the Pacific theatre of operations. For his military service he was awarded the American Defense Service Medal, American Service Medal, Asiatic Pacific Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. He retired in 1987 after many years of employment as a Truck Driver for the Teamsters Union. A forty-seven year resident of Oradell, New Jersey, he was active as a head usher at St. Joseph's Parish in Oradell. He has resided in Concord since 2008. Survivors include his daughter Robin Rush and her husband Jay of Concord, and his granddaughters Mary Elizabeth, Meg and Madison Rush, all of Concord. He was also the father of the late Kevin Rogers. A memorial Mass followed by military honors will be held on Friday June 10th at 10 am in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord Center. Concord's town flag will fly at half-staff on Friday June 10th in recognition of Mr. Rogers service to his country during World War II. Interment will be at a later date in the family burial plot in Holy Cross Cemetery in New Jersey. Donations in his memory may be made to MVCPC Inc., (Camp Jabberwocky), P. O.
