Charles K. Magurn, 77, a lifelong Concord resident, died unexpectedly on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center in Burlington.
Born in Concord on October 6, 1939, he was the devoted son of the late Charles T. and Elizabeth (Kelley) Magurn. He graduated from Concord High School in 1960.
For over thirty years, Charlie was a Groundskeeper at Middlesex School in Concord where he developed a close bond with his colleagues. He had a terrific memory and knew many of the students by name.
Charlie was a longtime member of the Concord Knights of Columbus and a faithful communicant at Holy Family Parish in Concord. He was active with and enjoyed volunteering for the Concord Council on Aging.
He will be missed for his wonderful sense of humor.
Survivors include his sister, Betty Magurn of WI as well as many dear cousins and caring friends. He was also the brother of the late Dorothy A. Magurn.
Funeral will be on Tuesday, December 20th at 9 am from the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 am in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord Center.
Burial will follow at St. Bernard's Cemetery, Concord.
Visiting hours are Monday, December 19th from 4 to 8 pm in the Dee Funeral Home.
