Charlie enjoyed his summer home on the serene Crystal Lake in Frankfort, Michigan. The true "loves of his life" were the many lucky Golden Retrievers he rescued and spoiled over the years. He also enjoyed cooking in his spare time.
He was a proud Concordian, and a longtime member of the Concord Independent Battery, along with his brother and father. During his membership with the Battery, which spanned over 50 years, he was steadfast in his support of the organization, which included several years serving as its Treasurer. Charlie was a devoted volunteer at Emerson Hospital and a member of First Parish in Concord.
He is survived by one brother, Bruce Barker and his wife Susan of Concord, and his niece, Leah Anne (Barker) Koehler-Rice and her husband Leland of Concord.
Family and friends will gather for visiting hours on Friday, June 13th from 4 to 6 pm at the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center. Charlie's graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 14th at 11 am in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Bedford Street, Concord.
