Carrie E. Jones, a former resident of Concord and Milton, died at Alliance Health at Marina Bay in Quincy on Friday morning, March 29, 2024. She was 91.

She was born in Winton, NC on November 24, 1932, as the daughter of the late Starkie and Gladys (Cherry) Jones.

Carrie will be remembered as a devoted Christian who embodied traditional values and high morals. While living in Concord for many years, she was a trusted Real Estate Broker and was actively involved in the Concord Human Rights Council. She was passionate about advocating for those who needed a voice. She was committed to helping disadvantaged people find homes in town during the 1970's and 1980's. Taking regular long, peaceful walks in the scenic parts of the area brought her joy and solace, particularly near Walden Pond. A fashion enthusiast, Carrie took pride in always looking her best. She was a beautiful soul, inside and out.

She was the mother of Stanley Jenkins and his wife Paky of Quincy, Carolyn Steele of Jacksonville, FL and Anthony Jenkins of Sanbornton, NH, and the grandmother of Kerri, Jennifer, Courtney and Candice. Carrie was predeceased by her husband, Wofford Jenkins.

Carrie will be laid to rest during a private burial service on April 2, 2024 at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in Concord.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her honor may be made to Military Order of the Purple Heart.
