Carol Lee (Downey) Busa, 82, of Middleboro, formerly of Concord and Maynard, died Monday, April 22, 2013 at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. She was the beloved wife for 31 years of Joseph A. Busa, founder of Wayside Florist in Concord. Born in Boston on February 4, 1931 she was the daughter of the late Leo and Mary Darcy (McCarthy) Downey. She attended Maynard public schools and graduated from Maynard High School in 1949. She was a graduate of the Wilma Dearborn Carter School of Poise and Speech and the Academie Modern in Boston and studied with leading women of the theatre for many years. During the 1950's, Mrs. Busa appeared at numerous women's and garden clubs throughout New England and New York state presenting monologues, one act plays, and short sketches, was a teacher of Dramatic Expression and worked as a model for the Hart Modeling Agency. For many years, Mrs. Busa worked as a real estate broker in the Maynard and Concord areas and as a salesperson at the Johnny Tremain Shop in Concord. She was a longtime Middleboro resident and communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Middleboro. In addition to her husband, Joseph, she is survived by her children, Judith Grondalski, Barry Jenkins, Janice Jenkins, and Jill Naujoks, and her stepchildren, Joanne Busa Lentine and Wayne J. Busa and his wife Heather and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Burial will follow the visitation on Saturday, April 27th at St. Bernard's Cemetery, Concord.
Visitation:
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 27th from 9 to 10:30 AM in the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center.
Service:
Funeral Mass will be on Friday, April 26th at Sacred Heart Church, 340 Centre Street, Middleboro, Massachusetts.
